What this website collects

When you scan a machine code we record that a scan happened at that machine. That record has no name, no account and no location attached to it. We use it to know how much traffic a machine gets.

What the app collects

A phone number, or an Apple or Google sign-in — whichever you choose. The machines you save, the products you vote for, and the machines you scan. An optional display name.

Location is optional. If you grant it, a vote cast at the machine counts for more, because we can tell you were actually there. If you don't, you can still vote and nothing is blocked.

What we never collect

Payment details. Upvend takes no payment in the app, stores no card and holds no balance. You pay the machine directly, with your own card or phone, and that transaction never passes through us.

Deleting your account

Delete it from inside the app, under Account. Your phone number, sign-in identities, saved machines, watches and devices are erased. Past votes stay as anonymous demand counts that no longer connect to you.

Restricted sites

Some buildings prohibit collecting any visitor data. Machines in those buildings are flagged, and they record nothing at all — no scans, no location, no machine telemetry.
